Protein-Drizzled Sautéed Cinnamon Apples

Protein-Drizzled Sautéed Cinnamon Apples

This is one of those recipes that feels like dessert, but quietly works as a nourishing, well-balanced snack. Warm, cinnamon-spiced apples topped with a creamy vanilla protein drizzle—it’s comforting, cozy, and incredibly satisfying.

Perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up, a lighter dessert, or anytime you want something sweet that still supports your body.

Ingredients:

Protein Drizzle (mix and set aside):
• 25g (1 heaping scoop) Simplified Nutrition Vanilla Optimized Protein
• 25g unsweetened vanilla almond milk

For the apples:
• 150g (1 medium) apple, chopped (Fuji works beautifully)
• 10g (2 tsp) water

Add after initial cook:
• 5g (1 tsp) coconut oil
• 5g (1 tsp) pure maple syrup
• Generous sprinkle of cinnamon
• Dash of sea salt
• Few drops of vanilla extract

Directions:
In a small bowl, stir together the protein powder and almond milk until smooth. Set aside.

In a small skillet over medium heat, add the chopped apple and water. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes. Then add the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla.

Continue cooking uncovered for another 5 minutes, or until the apples are tender and fragrant. Remove from heat, transfer to a serving dish, and drizzle with the vanilla protein sauce.
